Our Blog

Specialty Tile co-sponsored a fun event called Gingertown for Atlanta-based architects and designers to raise money for various local charities.  The theme for 2015’s event was “Gingertown Goes to the Beach”. Thirty sites were available & were priced according to location and theme. Levino Jones selected the “Sea Foam Green” plot, where we went with a “Rockefeller Center” theme. Four of our designers participated in the evening event that was filled with sweets, laughs and holiday spirit! We made a large Christmas tree out of stacked & frosted waffle cones decorated with small candies as ornaments and “presents” at the base of the tree.  There was an ice skating rink in front of the tree. The ice skaters were made from Sour Patch Kids and Teddy Grahams, with ear muffs and ice skates added with icing. There was also a fire pit and a hot chocolate stand for those chilly beach-goers. This was such a fun event to be involved in!  We are looking forward to finding out the theme and participating in Gingertown 2016.
