Each year, Specialty Tile hosts an industry night of designing and constructing an entire town made of gingerbread! This year’s theme was Gingertown London: A British Invasion. Architecture and design firms buy a plot in the town and show off their best gingerbread architecture, frosting and candy constructing skills. The $5,000 raised from the plot purchases was donated to The Lifecycle Building Center and The Covenant House.
On December 6th, the LVJ elves headed to Gingertown London at the Specialty Tile Buckhead Showroom. They filled their cups with an assortment of candies and their piping bags with frosting. The designer’s space planned and constructed “Twiggy’s Bon Bon Beauty Salon” and even included the first gummy bear customers in the salon chairs. The salon is ADA accessible, sustainable with recycling bins in place, and lit on the inside.
Two of our favorite reps, Tracy Roan with Patcraft and Maureen Gundacker with Koroseal, sponsored our plot this year. Each plot comes together to form an amazing Gingertown that gets more impressive each year! Thank you to Specialty Tile for hosting another great event!
