This Christmas season we volunteered at the Sandy Springs Community Assistance Center (CAC) to sort toys that would end up going to families in need. The CAC is right in our backyard and serves the people of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. They help those in need by providing food, clothing, shelter, and educational classes to teach skills required to obtain a job.
Their mission is to “bring together the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities, to provide compassionate assistance to neighbors in need by providing financial support, helping to meet basic needs and promoting self-reliance.”
Our group was able to sort through donated toys and separate them for families by age, gender,etc. We enjoyed being a small part of making a child’s Christmas brighter.
